Launched in ’72 as an alternative to Honda’s CB750 and Kawasaki’s three cylinder rocket ships, it quickly became apparent that it couldn’t really compete with either in outright performance, but it won many people over with it’s smooth power delivery and road manners. However, do not underestimate the potential of a tuned GT750 motor, in race trim it won championships in the hands of none other than Barry Sheene.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"bodytext\" style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eIt also makes a pretty damn good cafe racer.
